Meet the Board

Introducing our Board

The 100Percent Charitable Trust is governed by a voluntary Board of Trustees that meet at least four times a year. Their principle role is to oversee the operation of 100Percent and provide leadership within the organisation.

Jamie Newth


Jamie is an independent consultant with broad experience working with organisations across the private, public, and non-profit sectors advising on strategy, innovation, growth, and social innovation and providing general thought leadership. He also teaches at the University of Auckland Business School where he is currently completing a PhD in Social Entrepreneurship.

Alan Williams

Alan is a highly experienced CFO with background in a number of large New Zealand corporates including Pyne Gould Corporation, MARAC Finance Ltd and Carter Holt Harvey. Now with World Vision as General Manager Finance and Operations, his extensive experience in complex finance, manufacture and distribution businesses provides an ability to relate strongly to underlying operations of the businesses and bring some of the key disciplines of the corporate New Zealand to the NGO sector.


Crystal Diong

Crystal graduated with a BMedSci (Hons) in physiology in 2014 and is currently in her 4th year of her medical studies at the University of Otago. She is interested in issues around social justice and youth engagement and at 14, was the founder of the Fair Trade movement at Otago Girls High School which is now a Fair Trade school. Crystal also has a long standing passion for teaching and academia, working as a private tutor and as an anatomy demonstrator at the Otago Medical School. In 2012, she combined these two passions and started a tutoring project to raise funds for World Vision, a project which eventually scaled to form 100Percent as it is today!

Lucy Laitinen

Lucy is the General Manager of the World Visionaries department at World Vision NZ, leading the organisation’s work to develop relationships with key influencers and change agents in New Zealand. Prior to this role she worked in advisory roles with central and local government. She also worked for several years in the Helsinki regional office of the International Organisation for Migration, developing and implementing migration-related projects in the Nordic and Baltic States. Lucy has an MPhil in Development Studies from the University of Cambridge and a BA (Hons) in International Relations from Victoria University.

Chris Clarke

Born in Christchurch, Chris Clarke graduated from Canterbury University in 1986 with bachelor's degrees in commerce and law. He has had a varied career in the New Zealand health sector, plus experience working in Europe with the World Health Organisation. From 2003 to 2009, he was CEO of the Hawke's Bay District Health Board. In 2010 he was appointed as CEO of World Vision NZ.
